Gayatri Mantra renewed

Above picture is of the Havan kund where i chanted Gayatri mantra.

Seems like it is all lined up and planned by destiny to happen this way or may be it is the age or time  to get into daily worship.
My school is a Arya Samaaj school where we recited Gayatri mantra during our morning assembly. It is this Saturday i.e. several years after my school i understand the real meaning of the mantra.

Due to a suicidal death by a 15 year old boy (always remember to be kind to everyone) and a few theft in our society, the committee decides to have a Sunderkand path and havan. During this havan i got reintroduced to the power of Gayatri mantra. Surrounded by the havan kunds, Gayatri mantra chants and the whole purified atmosphere i felt my own soul cleansed and energised.
Priest was very kind and i am grateful to him for this reincarnation(!). He explained every aspect of havan rituals as in how we invite the Gods to the havan and thank the Goddess Earth for all that she gives us and never asks anything back in reward, like a true mother. With closed eyes i followed  every aspect of visualisation and brought the Gods in for the Havan and thanked them for this eternity experience.

According to Swami Vivekananda the meaning of the mantra is to meditate on the glory of that Being who has produced this univers; may He enlighten our minds.
It is believed by practitioners that reciting the mantra bestows wisdom and elightenment, through the vehicle of the Sun who represents the source and inspiration of the universe. I personally feel that Sun and Fire can heal anything.

The Gayatri mantra is,[9] in Devanagari:
ॐ भूर् भुवः सुवः ।
तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं
भर्गो॑ देवस्यधीमहि ।
धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् ॥
In IAST:
oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ suvaḥ
tatsaviturvareṇyaṃ
bhargo devasyadhīmahi
dhiyo yo naḥ prachodayāt
– Rigveda 3.62.10[11]
